Articles on: Advanced Commission Rule

I want to give Advanced Commissions based on Coupon/Customer/Lifetime tracking

Advance commission rules

Advance commission rules allow you to apply a higher or lower commission from the default one when orders meet specific conditions about customers, coupons, or lifetime.

Go to Programs > Commission rules > Advanced commission rule > Add rules to set advanced commission rules for your program.

Application (with examples)

Coupon

You select among 4 types of coupons to set a different commission from the default.

Affiliate coupon

Applies to all coupons assigned to affiliates in BixGrow.

Example:

Default commission: 10%. You want to reward affiliates more when their coupons are used.

Advance commission rule applied: Coupon type = Affiliate coupon → Commission 20%.

If an affiliate’s assigned coupon (e.g., NATALIA10, GRACE20) is used during checkout → the affiliate will earn 20% instead of 10%.

Any coupon

Applies to all coupon orders.

Example

Default commission: 10%. You want to reduce the commission for all discounted orders.

Advance commission rule applied: Coupon type = Any coupon → Commission: 5%.

If the customer uses any coupon (BLACKFRIDAY, CHRISTMAS, SARAH20), the affiliate receives 5% commission instead of 10%.

Equal to

Applies to a specific coupon code

Example:

Default commission: 10%

You want to increase the commission because this ia a part of a special promotion.

Advanced commission rule applied: Coupon = VVIP25 → Commission: 25%.

Only when customers use VVIP25, affiliates receive 25%. With any other coupon, affiliates get a default 10% commission.

Contain

Applies to all coupons that contain certain words

Example

Default commission: 10%

You create a set of summer campaign coupons: SUMMER10, SUMMERDEAL, SUMMER25, and you want to give affiliates a higher commission for this campaign.

Advanced commission rule applied: Coupon contains “SUMMER” → Commission: 15%

If the customer uses a coupon that contains “SUMMER” → affiliate gets 15% commission.

Customer

The commission will be applied differently in consideration of returning or new customers.

Example:

Default commission: 10%

You want to reward affiliates more for bringing new customers.

When a customer makes their first-ever purchase, the affiliate earns 20% commission instead of 10% default commission.

Lifetime tracking

Lifetime tracking links an affiliate to the customers they first refer, granting commissions on all future orders—even without link clicks.

Example:

An affiliate named Jeremy refers a customer, Emma, who makes her first purchase using Jeremy’s link. With lifetime tracking enabled, Emma is now permanently linked to Jeremy. Later, Emma returns to the store and makes more purchases without clicking Jeremy’s link. Jeremy still earns commissions on all of Emma’s future orders because of lifetime tracking.

Note

If an order meets more than one condition set up in the Advanced commission rule, only the rule with higher priority will be applied. You can change their priority by rearranging the rules.

When you select disable tracking, no commission will be recorded. In this example, affiliates will not get any commission because of disable tracking.

Above are some signature examples to guide you in using this feature. However, you have the flexibility to customize them according to your preferences.
