How to set up Lifetime commission?

What is Lifetime commission?

Lifetime commission allows affiliates to be linked to the customers that they originally referred and receive commissions on all of these customers' subsequent orders (regardless of whether an affiliate link/coupon was used or not). It is offered for a period of time called Lifetime duration. Once it ends, Lifetime commission will no longer be available.

When the Lifetime commission is set up:

Affiliates continue earning from the customers they refer.
Commissions apply to all future orders from that customer.
The customer does not need to click the affiliate link again, use the affiliate coupon, or use the same device/browser.

You can set a Lifetime commission rate for lifetime orders, separate from the program’s default rate, to reward affiliates for all subsequent purchases by customers they originally referred.

How does Lifetime tracking work?

BixGrow creates a permanent customer–affiliate relationship after the first tracked order.
This tracking is internal and does not rely on browser cookies.
Even if cookies expire, devices change, or browsers are different, the orders will still be credited.

Lifetime duration has priority over cookie duration. If lifetime tracking is enabled, it overrides cookie limits.

Step-by-step guide

How to set up Lifetime Commission?

Go to Programs > Edit

Go to Commission rules > Enable Lifetime commission

Set the Lifetime duration for your program. The duration may be configured as unlimited or defined for a specific period, depending on your requirements.

Click Save to save changes to your program.

Lifetime commission rate

Lifetime commission rate is a separate commission rate for lifetime orders. The lifetime commission rate is different from the program’s default rate specifically for lifetime orders. This allows you to apply a separate payout structure for all subsequent purchases made by a customer after their initial referred order.

How set up Lifetime commission rate

In Commission rules > Advanced commission rules > Add rules

Select Lifetime tracking, and enter the commission amount that you want to set for lifetime orders.

The default commission rate is 29% per order. After enabling Lifetime Tracking, all future lifetime orders will be assigned a commission rate of 33%.

Example

In this example, affiliate Natalia refers customer Emma. Emma places her first order using Natalia’s affiliate link, and BixGrow establishes the connection between them. Natalia receives the default commission of 29%.

Subsequently, Emma returns independently and makes another purchase without using an affiliate link. Natalia still earns a commission on this order at the lifetime rate of 33%, provided that the lifetime duration remains valid.

Manually link/ unlink an affiliate and a customer

Link an affiliate to a customer

To manually link an affiliate and a customer, go to Conversions > Customers > Link customer

You can choose to link an affiliate with existing or new customer.

Unlink an affiliate and a customer

When you want to remove the link between an affiliate and a customer, you can go to Conversions > Customers > Click the Delete button

Link an existing customer

You can manually link a customer who is already associated with an affiliate by navigating to Conversions > Customers > Link Customer.

Click **Replace **to complete.
