Referral orders go through multiple status before they become payable commissions.

Pending: Referral order has been tracked and waiting to be approved By default, pending referral orders are auto-approved immediately. You can adjust this duration in **Settings **> General to match your store's refund policy and minimize the chance of paying commissions for later-refunded referrals. During this time, you can still approve or deny referrals immediately.
Approved: Referral order has been approved and waiting to be billed
Due: Commission for the referral order has been billed and waiting to be paid Please note that at this stage, the commission amount can no longer be adjusted.
Paid: Commission for the referral order has been paid
Denied: Referral order has been denied These orders will be excluded from your Reports and the Affiliate Dashboard.

Can different products have different commission rates?

Product Commission allows you to apply different commission rates for specific selected products or collections, while every other products in your store still follows the default commission.

Example Product A ($30) gives a 20% commission and the default commission is 10%, when a customer places an order of product A and product B ($100), the commission to be given will be $30x20% + $100x10% = $16.

What commission rate should I offer affiliates?

Affiliate commission rates can vary greatly depending on the niche, the products and services being promoted, or the affiliate program being used. Here are some recommended ranges of commission rates for different niches:

However, please keep in mind that this is just our recommendation. It's best to calculate and decide your affiliate commission rate based on your own store's profit margins. To make sure that commissions are calculated on the exact base you want, please set up Commissionable Sales!

I want to give Advanced Commissions based on Coupon/Customer/Lifetime tracking

1. What are Advanced Commission Rules?

Allows you to apply different commission rates based on some specific requirements about customers, coupons or lifetime commisison.

| If an order meets more than one condition set up in Advanced Commission Rule, only the rule with higher priority will be applied. You can change their priority by rearranging the rules.

2. Not sure how to use this feature? Here are a few examples to help you apply it.

1. Only track commissions for orders made by new customers - those who haven't made purchases from your store before

In this example, if the customer is a returning one, no commission will be recorded.

2. Offer a different commission rate for orders made by new customers

In this example, if the customer is new, the commission will be 5% [Please keep in mind that a different default commission for affiliates must be set up first]. If the customer is a returning customer who has made a purchase before, the commission will be the default commission rate for program.

1. What is Lifetime Commission?

Lifetime Commission allows affiliates to be linked to the customers that they originally referred and receive commissions on all of these customers' subsequent orders (regardless of whether an affiliate link/coupon was used or not). It is offered for a period of time called Lifetime Duration. Once it ends, Lifetime Commission will no longer be available.

| If a customer is referred by an affiliate for the first time (the customer places the first order via an affiliate link/coupon), a link between them will be stored. | Next time, when the same customer places another order (even without using the same affiliate link/coupon or device/browser), BixGrow can still identify the affiliate who originally referred this customer and give him a commission. The affiliate will continue to receive commissions for this customer's orders until his Lifetime Duration ends.

2. How to set up

To set up Lifetime Commission, you must first enable this feature.

Once Lifetime Commission is enabled, all existing links between affiliates and customers in the Conversions > Customers tab will become lifetime links.
